Fresh from its 2025 Olivier Award win for Best Family Show, the science spectacular Brainiac Live! is hitting the road for a major UK tour in 2026. Following a festive run at Birmingham Town Hall on 28 and 29 December 2025, the tour will visit theatres across the country, bringing its trademark mix of daring experiments, wild energy, and mischievous humour to audiences nationwide.
Based on the hit ITV series, Brainiac Live! is the UK’s original family science show, blending jaw-dropping demonstrations with a heavy dose of laughter. Expect clouds of liquid nitrogen, vortex smoke rings, exploding hydrogen balloons, spinning CO₂ chairs and plenty more stunts you definitely should not try at home.
Producer Dan Colman said, “Winning the Olivier Award for Best Family Show this year was a huge moment for us, and now we’re thrilled to be taking Brainiac Live! around the country next year. There’s nothing quite like the look on kids’ faces when they see our daredevil experiments live on stage – but remember, don’t try this at home.”
The 2026 tour follows the show’s acclaimed summer season at London’s Marylebone Theatre and a global track record that includes performances at the Sydney Opera House, Hong Kong, Barcelona, Expo 2020 Dubai, and a dual-language run in Saudi Arabia.
Since debuting in 2008, Brainiac Live! has entertained hundreds of thousands of children and families with its unique brand of live science theatre. The show is developed by a creative team of producers, designers, science communicators, and a Professor of Public Engagement in Science, ensuring every spectacular moment is grounded in real scientific curiosity.
Lou Black, SVP Brand Licensing at ITV Studios, added, “We’re delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with Dan Colman Creative, who have done an outstanding job bringing Brainiac Live! to audiences across the UK and internationally. Their Olivier Award win underlines the creativity and quality of their work.”
