Kevin Clifton, Nick Hayes and Peter Duncan will star in the new UK and Ireland tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, joining the previously announced Adèle Anderson of Fascinating Aïda. The production opens at the Palace Theatre, Manchester on 19 February 2026 before touring nationwide until July.
The full cast includes Adèle Anderson as Bernadette, Kevin Clifton as Tick/Mitzi, Nick Hayes as Felicia/Adam and Peter Duncan as Bob/Preacher. They will be joined by Dakota Starr as alternate Bernadette, Leah Vassell, Bernadette Bangura and Jessie May as the Divas, Gary Lee as Miss Understanding, Billie Hardy as Marion, Isabella Glanzing Santos as Cynthia, Sario Solomon as Jimmy and Jak Allen-Anderson as Farrah/Young Bernadette. Alexander Emery appears as Frank, with ensemble members Michael Afemaré, Tia Antoine-Charles, Olivia Bella, Alexander Gage, Fionan O’Carroll, Nathan Ryles, Samuel Stokes and Mary Suarez completing the company.
The musical features BAFTA award-winning costume designer Vicky Gill, best known for Strictly Come Dancing, making her musical theatre design debut. Gill and her team have created over 100 dazzling costumes for the tour, bringing the show’s trademark glamour to life.
Kevin Clifton said:"Priscilla Queen of the Desert is bold, joyful and unapologetically full of heart. Taking on the role of Tick/Mitzi feels like the perfect challenge because it is not just about the glitz and glamour, it is about identity, family and love in all its forms. And let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to perform in those incredible costumes with that soundtrack? It is pure joy from start to finish."
Vicky Gill added:"It is an absolute pleasure to design for this vibrant and iconic show. Every sequin, feather and stitch helps tell the story in real time, right before the audience’s eyes. Bringing this glamorous and fabulous world to life through costume is a dream come true."
Directed by Olivier Award-nominated Ian Talbot OBE with choreography by Olivier Award-winner Matt Cole, Priscilla Queen of the Desert follows three friends as they travel across Australia in a dilapidated bus named Priscilla to perform the show of a lifetime. The creative team also includes Andrew Exeter (Set and Lighting Design), Sam Holmes (Associate Director), Ben Harrison (Sound Design), Leo Flint (Video Design), Craig Forrest-Thomas (Hair and Make Up Design) and David Grindrod CDG for Grindrod Burton Casting.
Packed with disco classics including It’s Raining Men, I Will Survive, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Hot Stuff, the musical is a celebration of acceptance, friendship and finding the courage to be yourself.
