Well, hello there, dear readers!

Happy London Theatre Doc
Happy London Theatre Doc

It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? I know, I know — the last few months have been suspiciously quiet on the London Theatre Doc front. But don’t worry, I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth (or into the orchestra pit). Instead, I’ve been swept up in the high drama of a different kind — the winter pressures in the NHS.

Yes, while the West End was dazzling with sequins and spotlights, I was dashing between cubicles and crash calls in A&E, fuelled by redbull, adrenaline, and the occasional snack from the ever expensive hospital M&S. And in between all of that, I was also navigating one of the biggest plot twists in my own career: applying for a consultant position.

And here’s the big reveal… drumroll, please — I got it! I’m officially a Consultant. No standing ovation required, but I’ll happily accept polite applause and a nice glass of wine.

Now that the curtain has lifted on this new chapter, I’m thrilled to say London Theatre Doc is making a grand return. I’ve missed the magic of live performance, the buzz of opening nights, and most of all, sharing that magic with all of you. There are so many shows I’ve got my eye on, and I promise there will be plenty of reviews, reflections, and theatrical ramblings coming your way very soon.

So whether you're a fellow theatre addict, a curious reader, or just someone who enjoys a doctor with a dramatic streak — thank you for sticking around. Here’s to more theatre, less chaos, and a lot of five-star nights ahead.

See you in the stalls (and not in resus).

With love,

London Theatre Doc
