Pigs Fly Easy Ryan taxis down the runway with cheeky confidence and hits cruising altitude in no time. What follows is playful chaos that invites you to buckle up, flick on airplane mode, and let the silliness soar.

Of the three Untapped Award winning shows at the Fringe this year, this one comes courtesy of Lou Doyle and Trevor White, and it is a barnstormer.

Two pigs in PVC, with a sly nod to Britney’s stewardess look, dream of taking to the skies. Their solution? Become flight attendants. From there the show goes hog wild. Cotton ball clouds sail across the crowd, a delirious naked lube slide earns an ovation of its own, and a flirtation with “plane Daddy” nearly brings the house down. They describe it as an aviation bimbofication transubstantiation ritual for audiences over eighteen. On paper it sounds like joyful nonsense, but live it lands perfectly. This is clowning with bite.

Co-written with director Kendra A Miller, the text treats logic like hand luggage: compact, flexible, and ready to be tossed aside whenever the next gag takes off.

Both performers commit fully, shifting pace within their characters with sharp precision and building running jokes that gather speed. At times the chaos barrels forward so fast it risks blurring detail, but the sheer joy and conviction carry it through. Staging is light, keeping focus on the duo’s rhythm. Props and sound are deployed smartly, always serving the gag rather than cluttering it. By the end, though, the stage is a glorious catastrophe: cotton fluff drifts across the floor, lube slicks the stage, costumes are shed in piles, and the set looks like a crash landed pig sty, perfectly in tune with the show’s anarchic spirit.
