Gigglemug Announce Cast of Jaffa Cake The Musical

The amazing Gigglemug are back with A Jaffa Cake Musical, hitting Bath and the Edinburgh Fringe 2025 — and we’ve finally got a cast announcement for you!
If, like me, you’ve spent way too much time pondering life’s most important question — is a Jaffa Cake a cake or a biscuit? — then it’s time for you, your family, kids, mates, lovers, and fellow Jaffas to decide once and for all in Gigglemug’s hilariously silly courtroom musical.
I saw A Jaffa Cake Musical at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe and gave it 5 stars (you can check out my review below). I wasn’t the only one — over 30 other critics rated it 4 or 5 stars, so you know it’s going to be good.
Catch it at the Pleasance Courtyard at 2pm from 30th July to 25th August 2025 (they’re off on the 12th), or if you’re near Bath, grab a seat at the preview shows on the 24th and 25th July at The Mission Theatre.
Returning to the production are the show’s writer Sam Cochrane (Kevin), Sabrina Messer (Katherine), Alex Prescot (Judge), from Scouts! The Musical Katie Pritchard (Tax Man) & Harry Miller (Jake) from Peter Pan at the National & The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe at the Bridge. Joining the production are Toby De Salis from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Ensemble/Percussionist), also from Scouts! The Musical Emily Kitchingham (Ensemble/Bassist) and Alexander Jude, who will be stepping in for the Bath previews. The production is directed by Ali James, known for her work on Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, The London 50 Hour Improvathon and as part of Mischief Theatre (Peter Pan Goes Wrong/Magic Goes Wrong), with musical direction & arrangements by Faking Bad’s Rob Gathercole.
